Sound healing introduction
Introduction
Sound healing is an ancient therapy believed to date back to ancient Greece when sound was used in an attempt to cure mental disorders. But in 1896 American physicians first found a connection between sound and healing when they noted that sound could improve blood flow and improve thought processes. Sound healing is an ancient mediative practice that uses different tuneful instruments to create healing vibrations around the body. It is over 40,000 years old therapy. It includes singing bowls, Quartz Crystal bowls and gongs tuned at specific frequencies for healing different body parts. Singing bowls originated in Mesopotamia over 5,000 years back. Sound healers function toward lowering blood pressure, improving circulation and reducing high respiratory rates.
