A creepy horror story
By Abhiroop kaur mann
It was a dark and stormy night, the kind of night where the wind howls and the rain beats against the windows. Mary was driving home from a late shift at the diner when she got a flat tire. She was stranded alone on the side of the road, in the middle of nowhere.
As she sat in her car, shivering with fear, she heard a tapping on the window. It was an old man, his face contorted with anger. "You shouldn't be here," he growled, "This is not a place for the living."
Mary gasped and tried to start her car but it wouldn't turn over. Suddenly, she heard footsteps coming towards her car and saw the old man's hand slowly reaching for the door handle. She tried to escape but the door wouldn't budge. It was then she realized that her car had been tampered with.
In the distance, she saw a faint light that seemed to grow larger. It was a hearse moving towards her car. The hearse stopped beside her and the driver got out. It was the old man from earlier. He opened the door and beckoned her inside.
As Mary stepped into the hearse, she saw rows of open coffins filled with the dead. She looked around in terror as the old man drove her to the gates of an old abandoned cemetery. There she saw crowds of dead souls wandering aimlessly.
The old man turned around and said to her, "Welcome to the land of the undead. You're one of us now."
From then on, Mary was trapped in the cemetery, living among the dead forever more. No one ever found her and her screams were never heard again.
