A monotonous poem
By Abhiroop kaur mann
The clock ticks on with a rhythmic beat,
A monotonous tune that cannot be beat.
Day turns to night, and back again,
A cycle of boredom that never ends.
The sun rises and sets without much care,
And life goes on without a single dare.
The trees sway in the wind, again and again,
A constant movement that never ends.
The same old routines, day in and day out,
The monotony of life, without any doubt.
A repetitive melody that never strays,
A tune that bores us in so many ways.
Life can be a drudgery, from beginning to end,
An unchanging tune that we cannot bend.
But perhaps, amidst the dull routine,
We can find a note of hope, a glimmering sheen.
So let us listen to the ticking clock with an open heart,
And find a way to make a new start.
For in the monotony, there may be beauty to behold,
A new tune to play, a story to be told.
