A thriller verse
By Abhiroop kaur mann
It was a cold, misty night when Adam received a call from an unknown number. The voice on the other end of the line was shaky and desperate.
"Please, you have to help me," the voice pleaded. "They're after me."
Adam could hear the fear in the person's voice and immediately offered his help. He asked where the person was, but all they said was that they were near an abandoned factory on the outskirts of town.
Adam rushed to his car and drove to the factory. As he got closer, he saw a figure running towards him. It was a woman, and she was in a state of panic.
"Please, you have to help me," she said again, tears streaming down her face.
Adam brought the woman to his car, and she told him that she had been cornered by a group of people who were after her. She didn't know who they were or what they wanted, but they had been chasing her for hours.
As they drove away, Adam noticed a suspicious car following them. He tried to outrun it, but it was too late. The car crashed into them, and Adam's car spun out of control.
When he regained consciousness, he was tied up in an old, musty room in the abandoned factory. The woman was nowhere to be seen.
Over the course of his captivity, Adam discovered that he had been captured by a group of criminals involved in human trafficking. They had mistaken him for someone else and decided to hold him for ransom.
With quick thinking and resourcefulness, Adam plotted his escape. He broke free of his bonds and began to gather information on the captors and their operations.
Days turned into weeks as Adam worked to gather as much information as possible. Finally, he found an opportunity to escape and ran out of the factory, never looking back.
After reporting the kidnappers to the authorities, Adam learned that the woman who had called him had been rescued as well. She thanked him for saving her and vowed to never let herself fall victim to those criminals again.
Relieved and shaken by his ordeal, Adam returned home, grateful for his freedom and newfound appreciation for life.
