Poem on sports

Sports, the essence of life

Keeps us moving, striving to strive

From the courts to the fields,

They are where true champions yield.


The battle begins with the sound of the whistle

Fueled by adrenaline, we hustle and gristle

Persistence is key, never quit,

For the glory of victory, our hearts emit.


From football to basketball, cricket to soccer,

Every sport has its magic round the corner,

We run, we jump, we sweat and we play,

Moments of victory are what we slay.


The game is fair, each team fights fair and square,

To claim the victory with the crowd that cheers,

The joy, the triumph, the thrill, and pride,

We feel it all, with eyes open wide.


Sports teaches us life lessons, teaches us to cope,

Teaches us to accept defeat and never lose hope,

It builds our character, it tests our mettle,

It helps us strive harder and become better.


So, let’s embrace Sports, with all its glory,

For it’s the true essence of life’s story,

We learn from it, we grow and we thrive,

Sports, a way of living, a way to jive.

  It was a dark and stormy night. The wind was howling and the rain was pouring down in sheets. Mia was driving down a long, deserted road in the middle of nowhere. She was on her way home from a friend's house, but she had taken a wrong turn and was now lost.  Suddenly, her car started to sputter and she realized that she was running out of gas.
