A poem on humanity

 Humanity, a curious race we are

Endowed with reason, yearning to go far

From humble origins we have evolved 

The depths of wisdom we have resolved


With our minds and hearts we create

Build, destroy, and love - our fate

From the ashes of war, we rise again

Pushing forward, ambition reigns


We are flawed, but in our flaws lies grace

Compassion, empathy, a welcoming space

The ties that bind us, invaluable gifts

A shared humanity whose bond uplifts


We strive for meaning, purpose, and dreams

Against the currents of time, we scheme

To leave a legacy, a mark on this earth

A testament of our lives and worth


Despite our differences, we stand united

One people, one world, a tapestry of lighted

And despite the troubles that we depict

The human race, we shall not reject


For we are but one of the many

On a journey seeking our destiny

Humanity, a curious race we are

Endowed with reason, yearning to go far.

  It was a dark and stormy night. The wind was howling and the rain was pouring down in sheets. Mia was driving down a long, deserted road in the middle of nowhere. She was on her way home from a friend's house, but she had taken a wrong turn and was now lost.  Suddenly, her car started to sputter and she realized that she was running out of gas. She pulled over to the side of the road and tried to start the car, but it wouldn't turn over. She was stranded in the middle of nowhere, with no phone signal and no way to call for help.
