A thriller poem
By Abhiroop kaur mann
The darkness creeps, its tendrils slithering,
A chill runs down my spine, I feel a shiver,
The night is full of secrets, whispers lingering,
A sense of danger, I can't help but quiver.
The shadows dance, with each and every sound,
My heart beats faster, with fear and dread,
A sense of dread, I cannot shake, it's all around,
The danger lurks, its hunger must be fed.
Someone, something, is watching me,
I feel it in my bones, it's closing in,
I can't escape, I cannot flee,
My mind is reeling, my thoughts spin.
The darkness closes in, I cannot see,
I take a breath, I hold it tight,
I wait for what is coming, patiently,
My world now cloaked in endless night.
