Poem on gratitude

Grateful am I for every breath,

For every moment, life has begeth,

For the sun that rises in the sky,

And the blissful stars that catch my eye.


The beauty of nature, every sight,

And loved ones who make my world bright,

Friends who laugh with me and lend a hand,

Family who care, forever they stand.


The joy in simple things, I find,

A cup of coffee, the breeze so kind,

The peace that comes with a quiet mind,

And the loving presence of humankind.


Gratitude fills my heart and soul,

A reminder of blessings that make me whole,

In every moment that I'm alive,

I'm thankful, grateful, with all my drive.


For all the good that's come to me,

I thank the world and all I see,

Gratitude, my dear friend and guide,

Forever by my side, with love and pride.

  It was a dark and stormy night. The wind was howling and the rain was pouring down in sheets. Mia was driving down a long, deserted road in the middle of nowhere. She was on her way home from a friend's house, but she had taken a wrong turn and was now lost.  Suddenly, her car started to sputter and she realized that she was running out of gas.
