A poem on Sikhism

Sikhism, a way of life


A religion of peace and light


With a faith in one God


And love for all mankind 


The Guru Granth Sahib, our guide 


Teaches us to live a life of truth 


To serve others without pride 


And to fight for justice and youth 


The five K's, our symbols of faith 


Remind us to be strong and true 


To stand up for what is right 


And always embrace the Guru's view 


Langer, our community kitchen 


Is a place to share, love, and care 


Where all are welcome to eat 


And no one ever leaves in despair 


Sikhism, a beautiful religion 


That teaches us to be humble and kind 


To help those in need and serve 


And to always keep love in our mind.

  It was a dark and stormy night. The wind was howling and the rain was pouring down in sheets. Mia was driving down a long, deserted road in the middle of nowhere. She was on her way home from a friend's house, but she had taken a wrong turn and was now lost.  Suddenly, her car started to sputter and she realized that she was running out of gas. She pulled over to the side of the road and tried to start the car, but it wouldn't turn over. She was stranded in the middle of nowhere, with no phone signal and no way to call for help.
