A poem on shaheed e azam
By Abhiroop kaur mann
Bhagat Singh, a brave soul
His story, a legend to behold
A fearless warrior, a martyr's role
His courage, in our hearts, forever to unfold
Born with fire in his eyes
He knew his purpose, he heard the cries
Of a nation, oppressed and bound
He rose to fight, with every ounce of his ground
With words as his weapon, he struck
Against the shackles of the British tyrants' luck
His poems echoed the voices of the oppressed
His verses ignited a fire, that could never be suppressed
His pen was mightier than any sword
His words, a rebellion, a revolution soared
He spoke of freedom, he spoke of equality
His poetry, a call to action, a battle cry
He stood against injustice, selflessly
His sacrifice, a symbol of bravery
He faced the gallows, with a smile on his face
His spirit, an inspiration for the human race
Bhagat Singh, a young martyr, a hero
His name, etched in history's pages, a permanent glow
His poetry, a reflection of his undying love
For his country, for its people, for the freedom above
Today, his words still ring true
His legacy, a reminder, of what one can do
Against all odds, he stood tall
Bhagat Singh, the bravest poet of them all.
