 Title: Moonlight Serenade

In the silent night, the moon takes flight,

Casting its glow on darkness's might,

A serenade whispers upon the breeze,

As silver beams dance through the trees.

Notes of longing through the air cascade,

In moonlit dreams, melodies are made,

A saxophone's moan, a violin's sway,

The moonlight serenades the night away.

But beneath the charm, a somber tune,

Lurks a story without hope or boon,

A love forsaken, a heart left broken,

Tears hidden behind the words unspoken.

A melancholy rhythm pervades the air,

Wrapped in the melody's tender snare,

Each note but a secret, carefully concealed,

As sorrow's weight refuses to yield.

The limerick's jest, a fleeting disguise,

Masking the pain, despite its tries,

For beneath the wit, a seriousness lies,

In this moonlight serenade's mournful guise.

So listen closely to the melancholic tune,

For buried deep are tales of love's ruin,

The moonlight serenade may enchant and sway,

But secrets linger as darkness turns to day.
